When AI Sends Weird Emails to Your Buyers: Our Worst Mistake
Have you ever sent an email to a buyer with "Dear [Company Name]" still in the template? From what we've observed, it happens far more often than you think. Beyond unreplaced placeholders, there are more subtle mistakes—like the AI misinterpreting an industry and sending a completely wrong pitch.
AI emails are so grammatically perfect and well-structured that it's scary—you won't even realize you messed up until it's too late. 😅
We once accidentally CC'd a buyer who had already said "not interested," sending them the exact same pitch again, just more politely. We didn't even notice until they pointed it out. When you make a messy mistake, it's obvious, but because AI packages everything so neatly, you end up skipping the review process entirely.
That day, we confirmed that AI is just a drafting engine; context checking is still a human responsibility. We aren't sure if it's the perfect fix, but our team is currently beta-testing a process with Rinda where we feed in past communication history for better context, and it's working quite well.
Has anyone else had similar experiences? How are you preventing these slips?
