What is an export voucher and how can it be utilized?
What is an export voucher?
The export voucher is simply a 'coupon for export costs.'
The government covers 50-70% of the costs necessary for exports, such as overseas marketing, translation, and buyer discovery. Any small or medium-sized enterprise that falls under the Small and Medium Enterprises Basic Act can apply.
For example, if you utilize an overseas marketing service worth 10 million won? Your company only needs to pay 3 to 5 million won. The rest is supported by the government.
2026 Export Voucher Budget and Support Amount
The export voucher budget for 2026 is a total of 150.2 billion KRW, which is an increase of 22.6 billion KRW compared to 2025.
The amount of support varies depending on our company's export stage.
- Domestic/Beginner Stage: Up to 30 million KRW
- Promising Stage: Up to 45 million KRW
- Growth Stage: Up to 70 million KRW
- Strong Small Business Stage: Up to 100 million KRW
The co-payment ratio will be applied at 30-50% based on the scale of sales. The smaller the sales, the higher the government support ratio becomes.
Changes in 2026
Starting from 2026, the export voucher program has undergone significant changes.
First, the general export voucher and customs response voucher have been integrated. Now, services such as consulting for U.S. customs compliance and securing alternative supply chains can be accessed at any time without separate applications.
Second, the settlement process has been simplified. Simple settlements like platform subscription fees and online promotion costs have been reduced from 4 steps to 3. Payments to executing agencies will be made more quickly.
